GAME SUMMARY

Dead Block

Rating: 3.9 (59 votes cast)

In the ‘50s Rock’n’Roll music was spawned straight from hell and was so evil that it turned dead people into Zombies!
Three survivors - Jack Foster, a construction worker, Foxy Jones, a traffic warden, and Mike Bacon, a perpetually hungry boy scout - have formed an unlikely alliance to protect themselves from the invading undead. Hiding from the Zombies in abandoned buildings, they build blockades, set traps and – as a last resort – use weapons to fight.

  • A humoristic gameplay mix of killing zombies and tactical defense.
  • Kill zombies in unusual and entertaining ways: install unique traps, employ devious tactics and fight the intruders with smart bombs and melee weapons.
  • Tactical defense gameplay: defend from zombies by building blockades, gathering resources and switching between all 3 characters.

Dead Block review

As with the other reviewers this is a nice surprise. Its not flashy like Walking Dead nor does it have a plot to follow which I like. For a zombie game its casual and well though out. I encountered no bugs so far and enjoyed the tutorial and first level. Breaking up furnature and the hidden items mini game is very creative and fresh. The music is different in going for the 1950's rock feel. It may really only be a B' type game but for the price you can't go wrong at all with this one.

I was surprised with this game. It was only a couple of dollars, but I figured it was worth a try. It is a well-designed, comical take on a zombie apocalypse. Apparently, Rock'n Roll started the apocalypse. Ironically, it is also how you kill them.

It doesn't take much in the way of resources to play. But, it does have a good graphic feel. It is an easy game to learn and has a real challenge to it; especially if you let the zombies get into the building. No matter how many zombies you kill, there will still be another dozen coming up the stairs. The objective of each level is to find the three parts needed to play a Rock'n Roll tune. Each level also has its own interesting tools/weapons to keep the zombies away or to kill them.

I would recommend this game to anyone. It is definitely worth the price. I don't give it 5 stars because it is still a simple game and a little easier to play than I would like.

As the other review said, fun little game. The game caught my eye from a Youtube review and it didn't disappoint when I played it. A nice mix of strategy, tower defense, and general survival make for a neat game worth checking out.

This is a fun game, its a mix of zombie survival and elements from tower defense but you dont think of it in that way, I believe its very challenging, im only on the level after toturial and tried it three times without success but I were very close one time. I recommend this game.
