Great game! Good graphics, entertaining story-line and characters, difficulty level is just about right for battles and problem solving, tons of upgrades on weapons and armor; what else can you ask for.

Darksiders returns with tons of action and Zelda-esque gameplay. This time you play as Death (as if War wasn't violent enough), once again on a mission to save the world and this time also your brother War from the first game. The various waring factions in this game are confusing to the point of ridiculous, but that doesn't stop Darksiders II from being a great title with RPG elements, great puzzles, and a lot more of what we got from the first game.

This game has a great sarcastic main character, as you expect death would be, the combat is nice and enjoyable and can be challenging from time to time and you have a big world to explore.

But te puzzle can get annoying if you are not experienced with this kind of games

But its owerol a enjoyable experience

Good improvement from the first game. While the hack and slash gameplay is just as good as the first, it gives you a large open world to explore. Death is also a very good main character. The envirenment is very atmospheric. A very decent game.

So far, I have really enjoyed this game. It was a great throwback to the original with the high intensity action style combat without just recreating the first game. In many ways, this game has many Diablo like functions with the way you find loot to equip throughout the world. The addition of a large open world also helped to make the game feel huge and much less linear than the original game. Overall, one of my top purchases of the year.

I'm absolutely loving it! It is a humongous step forward from the first game. In my opinion the best new feature is the loot system which is what I missed most in the first one.

Darksiders II like many have said is very similar to Zelda in many aspects but stands on its own with a dark and grim feel. The fighting mechanics work great especially with a controller, sadly when using a keyboard and mouse they don't seem as tight or as pleasing even after all the patches but certainly are not unusable. Another thing about the game is the graphics even though they look stunning from afar up close on a monitor the low resolution really stands out and there seems to be no news of a hires texture pack. Some people have also complained about some frame rate issues, but I haven't had a problem no noticeable dips. Besides being a straight port without much more to offer then the consoles Darksiders II is a great game.

Loads of content and quite enjoyable to play, but never really improves over the original, with most of the new features not implemented quite as well as they needed to - making them often feel irrelevant.

A decent enourgh good game however can be a tad repetive. Just like the first game but bigger, where this is a problem is that it doesnt introduce new ideas fast enourgh eg the ball rolling for the first few hours you solve most puzzles by rolling a blue ball into a slot. This puzzle then later evolves into a bit more elaborate.

If can over look the repetive nature it is a solid zelda game and fun.

Fantastic game. It looks stunning at times, the art style and presentation are great and it is just a blast to play. Even better than the first game, which I also highly recommend.

To be honest, I hated Darksiders (the first one). It just seemed too... easy. This one seems to have filled the gaps and provides a much more satisfying game, and I am quite enjoying it so far.

Summary: Better than the first, but similar style. Worth Picking up on sale.

One of the best games of 2012.

Darksiders II surpasses the original Darksiders in every way. Its philosophy is to take several elements from various classic games and blend them together. You've got Zelda-like dungeon exploration and collectible upgrades. You've got the climbing and wall running from Prince of Persia. Satisfying and weighty combat from Devil May Cry. Badass mythological themes like God of War, except using the bible as a source rather than Greek mythology. Huge, epic boss battles like Shadow of the Colossus. I could go on listing more and more games that obviously inspired Darksiders II.

The game borrows these ideas pretty shamelessly, and one might expect it to be a bad thing. Darksiders II attempts to pull off so many different game mechanics at the same time, so surely it doesn't excel at any of them right?

Amazingly that's just not the case. Darksiders II delivers. None of the various mechanics it incorporates feels lazy or half-assed. The dungeons and puzzles are Zelda quality, the climbing feels like Prince of Persia, the boss battle are truly incredible and so forth.

Darksiders II is a completely successful homage to some of the greatest games in recent memory, and I absolutely recommend it without hesitation.

I love this game, having played the first one, i feel this is even better.

It feels very fast and the addition of items is great.

Death really is a nice character.

The game does have a few odd problems, texture details can be bad on some objects and good on others, that is what most "annoys" me, but doesnt prevent me from enjoying the game immensely.

I can really recommend this to everyone but specifically to people who like spectacle fighters.

While the game itself isnt as technically sound as the first one it is a good action game. The thing that destroys it is THQ's greed, as with saints row the third they nickle and dime you to death with dlc's even if you buy the season pass. It is so bad i took a star for it While you can get the game and even the season pass pretty cheap right now at gamersgate you are STILL looking at ATLEAST another 20$ in dlc!

The gameplay as i mentioned isnt as good as the first game, the graphics also look worse kind of like they put forth the minimal amount of effort into porting it (the equipment screen looks particularly bad) and i dont think death is as cool as war.

I do like being able to equip new/different armor (even if i do get nickle and dimed over it) and a few of the effects they have added are nice to look at (like having a horse in your pocket).

Really i think like most people i was expecting another awesome 1 time fee game like darksiders, the fact that they chose not to deliver that leaves it a steaming pile of mediocrity as my rating illustrates.

I have got to play quite a bit of the game so far, and i gotta say gameplay wise, the game has accomplished a good feel between god of war, prince of persia, or other games alike. A great balance of the diffrent things, and fun to play. Hack and slash fun with and extra added rpg element, with some better replay ability than the first. Still a great game the first, worth a try.

As it is a port in some terms, there is some thing that has been left out and not been worked on as good, but it is promissed as of now that they will update. But you can't not expect a game to be 100% done when released, there is mostly always some thing that will weigh it a bit down.

But to get that aside, the game is a great, fun, runs well on my computer, well except for some spots, but that is to handle.

I would maybe not say a MUST purchase, but it should not go missed either, get it on sale later if you don't feel as of it right now, but for sure give it a try.

An awsome sequel to one of the most refreshing games of this genre. Combining Prince of Persia, God of War, game really puts the mechanics that made the two games famous into account. Compelling story, fantastic gameplay, +new game plus and tons of upcoming content. DEATH awaits.

Loved the first one and this one is even better, is it perfect? no, there are a few small issues but nothing that hurts the game imo. Death has great agility and moves flawlessly throughout the world, they've added loot, skill trees, etc to make it more interesting. Excellent 2nd game in this series, definitely worth checking out

Havent gotten to play that much of it yet but so far it feels very much like the first one but better in some ways. Now it really feels like the character becomes stronger during during the game and the loot system does it part good. The game is very good overall with the only minus I got is with the areas, they are alot bigger now but it's not filled with enough stuff in them so they just feel big and empty from time to time.
