“ Dragon Age is the RPG of the decade.”

From the Makers of Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur’s Gate comes an epic tale of violence, lust, and betrayal.

The survival of humanity rests in the hands of those chosen by fate. You are a Grey Warden, one of the last of an ancient order of guardians who have defended the lands throughout the centuries. Betrayed by a trusted general in a critical battle, you must hunt down the traitor and bring him to justice.

As you fight your way towards the final confrontation with an evil nemesis, you will face monstrous foes and engage in epic quests to unite the disparate peoples of a world at war.

A romance with a seductive shapeshifter may hold the key to victory, or she may be a dangerous diversion from the heart of your mission. To be a leader, you must make ruthless decisions and be willing to sacrifice your friends and loved ones for the greater good of mankind.

Excellent RPG. it has been a very long time since a game of this calibre was produced in the RPG genre. Very entertainging with a very rich story. In some cases a little to rich, if you want the full involvment you forever need to open your codex ever 2 minutes to read something. However its not essential either (thank goodness) i was a little surprised it was not a open world as seems to be the direction of games now. Being stuck to this is he way you need to go with very little distraction takes away from the game a little. Combat is fun, however like most RPG's starts to get boring after a while. For any bad points i could find though there is an overwhelming amount of good points. Would recommend to anyone who plays RPG's

Once in a while a game like this come along, an rpg that you will use to compare any other new rpg game that will be released some time in the future. It has a very good character creator so we can customise our characters appearance. It has nice graphics and good animations. It has Interesting stories and Npc`s. And the combat is fun and challenging. Only thing that buggs me is that the archer classes have been ignored, it is there but they didnt do much work with it. And its not a free roam world as i was hoping. I must say the last rpg i enjoyed as much as this was Oblivion (Which i think Gamers gate should get ASAP so i can buy it again) If you like True RPG`s that lets you really MAKE your own character and stories this is a must for you! :D

Great Game!! From the guys who made Baldur Gates, Nevewinter etc. so you can find a lot of similarity with those games, but with a refreshed looks. Something I really like was the personality and character development, in fact I was always waiting for the comments from the characters during the adventures, you really have a good time listening to the in game conversations "Great! we have a dog in the party now... and Alistair is still the most stupid." and so on. The game mechanics are very easy and if you have played any of this kind of games you will feel at home. Also you can see the game from above view, wich is best to strategic play, is a great thing to view from character point of view, all the scenery is really really great. Bottom line, is one of those games you would like to keep and keep playing for long time, and is one of the few I really dont feel I pay too much.

Dragon Age: Origins is the role playing game experience of the decade, offering a host of classic concepts wrapped up in new gameplay mechanics and putting together a game world which can serve as a setting for a series of RPGs in the coming years. BioWare, the developers of the title and the first ones to anoint it as the "spiritual succession" to Baldur's Gate, have created a pretty classic story, where a great evil, known as the Blight, threatens the country of Ferelden and its neighbors. The players character must recruit a band of companions, including a With of the Wild, a Qunari, a Crow assassin, a bard turned to religion, a heart broken dwarf and a mage possessed by a benevolent spirit, in order to unite old allies and stop the Blight before it becomes too powerful. The combat is tactical and players will often encounter areas which are rather punishing. Even on Normal difficulty gamers will need to make use of all the abilities of their characters and use flanking, spell combinations and combos in order to overcome enemies like the Revenants, the abdominations and the traitorous Loghain. The real star of Dragon Age: Origins is the world which BioWare managed to create. There are a lot of familiar tropes of fantasy on display, but BioWare manages to twist most of them around into something new and interesting. Elves are oppressed and live in closed slums, dwarves are highly political ad treacherous, mages are seen as possible vessels for evil and watched over by Templars which are always poised to exterminate them. And these are just some examples related to how the world manages to immerse players and take them on a journey unlike any seen in role playing games in the last decade.
