    FEATURES

Children of the Nile™ is a unique gem of a city-building game, unparalleled in both grandeur and attention to detail.

As Pharaoh you will guide your people through thousands of years of history: from simple hunter-gatherers to the creation of an immortal civilization. Guide your people well and you will build breathtaking pyramids, explore the ancient world and wage war against your enemies.

Every inhabitant of your city is a fully developed, living person – part of an individual family and household with wants and needs. From priests to entertainers, scribes to laborers, even the royal family… everyone will need to eat and that’s just the beginning. Every block of stone that is hauled to your pyramid will be pulled by people who pray to the gods in temples of your choosing. Under your supervision, local economies will thrive as goods from reed baskets to gold jewelry will be created, purchased and enjoyed by the inhabitants of your city.

To achieve immortality a Pharaoh must look outside his city’s borders and make an impact on the world. Explore and open trade with foreign neighbors and you will have reason to build commemorative wonders that will tell the tale of your dynasty for all time. As your prestige rises so too will your ability to draw more people to your ambitious endeavors and build cities that are truly epic.

A very nice game. I really like how it immerses you in the life of an egyptian city that you have actually built yourself. How from humble beginnings you finally build a pyramid for yourselve.

I give this game 5 stars. It is a great strategy game and it has great scenarios. This game is great because you do not actually control the Egyptians life. In this game you play as pharaoh. This game covers every aspect of Egyptian life and at the same time offers great entertainment.

This is an above-average city-building game. If you have ever played other ancient city-builders (Zeus, Caesar, Emperor, etc.), you will see that this is the best. It has wonderful tutorials and you will know how to play very quickly. The graphics are also great, as is the core-gameplay. You can build tombs, obelisks, temples, and humble houses, conquer other cities, trade, promote your citizens, and watch the flood of the Nile every year.
The game can, though, become repetitive after a few scenairos, and it gets boring rather quickly. Never the less, this is a 4/5.

Excellent city builder. One of the best. Unlike older city builders like Pharao, here you have actual people living in your city, doing their job, earning their living and maybe getting promoted to a better job (if you make it available).
Good graphics complete the excellent impression and when you finally build your first huge pyramid and look at your city at sunset, you know that you did your part to make it all happen.

this game will get you so hooked that you will always think about playing it except if you don't like running a country and all and seeing people actually work and cook and plant and fight you wont forgive yourself if you never play this game.
