Civilization V: Korea and Wonders of the Ancient World - Combo Pack review

The Korea expansion gives you a civilization that main advantage is research speed. It's great when you play against computer but not when you play with other people. Also if you want to use it in multiplayer then other players must have the DLC or you can't use it.

You're actually sorta getting 2-4-1 here. You're getting a new campaign, + a small DLC pack. This makes the deal even sweeter, but it would have still been worthwhile for just 1 or the other. Both of the additions add quite a bit of betterment to the game. The Korea expansion alone is very possibly the best one of the bunch for Civ5.

I got this combo pack on sale and I thought it was a great value. The extra wonders are available towards the beginning of the game, which I think adds a little more excitement and complexity to figuring out how to spend your resources. The science boosts available with the Korean Civ are also pretty exciting if you like playing for a science victory or want to try it out.

*NOTE* The two DLC in this doublepack are the only two not included in the GOTY edition of Civ V at the time of this writing (excluding Gods & Kings Expansion, obviously)

Aside from Babylon, Korea is the only truly Science-focused Civ available. If, like me, you love playing for the science victory, you must get Korea. The Wonders of the Ancient World is nice as well. Adds a bit more early-game wonder rushing. Honestly it's not necessary to get the 'complete experience', but it's a nice addition. And what the hell, if you're getting the DLC for Civ, you may as well

Both of the DLC offerings contained in this pack are pretty unsubstantial, but if you bought the Game of the Year Edition of Civilization V you'll want this to make sure you have the complete package (not counting the upcoming “Gods and Kings” expansion pack, of course).

I would recommend waiting for this to go on sale before putting the money down on it, especially if you plan on buying “Gods and Kings”.

The best way to complete the GOTY edition of Civ V.

One new civilization with a good scenario to play with and another scenario with 3 new wonders.

Civ V is already an endless game but if you like samurai era or simply want more scenarios to play with it's a very nice pack!

they don't add great features like Beyond the Sword for Civ IV but they are a good "more of the same" add-ons!

Overpriced at normal cost but on sale the extra wonders are worth it just to add a little spice to early game phases that lasts for the whole game

Korean is a very interesting civilization to have in your Civ V. Few civilizations in Civ V have unique ability that are not relating to warfare, and Korean is one of them. Korean unique boosts the scientific outcome of your nation, making technological victory easier. Ideal for player who are tired of the warmongering play style.

The wonders scenario is decent and the extra Civ is nice, but this is for diehard Civ fans only.

As a huge fan of Korea in past editions of Civ, and a player who focuses heavily on technology, this is a welcome addition to my Civ V DLC collection. The Ancient World pack is just icing on the cake. The new wonders actually look like I would consider building them, given the right circumstances. As a player who prefers randomly generated maps, I usually avoid the scenario packs, but I think this one is worth the cash, especially if you can find it on sale.

Excellent!! The Koreans are easily the besst civ out there. If you are into heavily boosting your science this is for you.

The wonders are nice too (any new ones would be) and add some spice to the early part of the game. If you have been reluctant to get any DLC for Civ5, get this... you won't be disappointed!
