Beautiful graphic make it a pleasure exploring the city, trying to improve every detail you find. Make your journey through hundreds of years of transportation and look how the city grow into a smooth and lively buzz. Having no time pressure, it's relaxing to build around and try out a lot of different settings and watch it slowly grow.

Challenging but rewarding and lots of fun make this a good buy if you are into this kind of games. Can be a little heavy on an old coumputer though, but my semi-old computer runs it fine.

Downtown Transport Tycoon

Cities in Motion is a Transport Tycoon type of game, not a city builder. You are in charge of the public transport systems in several real-world cities. All kinds of vehicles are available to you, from busses to helicopters. Your job is to set up the most profitable public transport systems possible. You build stops and stations, lanes and lines, you purchase vehicles, handle the financial aspects, analyze your potential customer base, make strategic decisinos, and enjoy the various cities recreated in astonishing detail.

Recommended for anyone with an interest in the Transport Tycoon sub-genre or a general interest in the inner workings of a public transportation network.

This game offers a nice mix between strategic planning and almost casual presentation. Be careful and don't forget to plan ahead, or you'll end up in a traffic mess you won't get easily out of. I think the selection of vehicles could have been a bit wider, but it definitely gives you a lot of toys to play with. And now you can even play it on your macbook during those long flights. :-)

Not exactly what I was expected when I played it, actually I thought it was a whole new City Xl. However, for the purpose and the goal of the game, I found it pretty interesting. Not so much my type of game, but still I had some fun playing it and thinking how to build stuff.

It's the first traffic simulation game in years. The details are amazing and the graphics just really cool! The game runs smoothly, even if lots of vehicles and people are moving around the cities. Some minor issues found during the first day of playing, but nothing that worries me and the developers seems to be aware of it and works closely together with community to make the game better. I'm looking forward to see Cities in Motion grow and will probably spend hours playing this game!

Been a long time Sim City fan and this game did not disappoint. It was hard and challenging at first but it will begin to smooth and gets better after a bit. The game features a lot of mods from the community that you can download to increase the playability.

Quite a special and interesting game. I have not played many of this kind of games, but this one is a great time killer. It's kind of a slow pace game, but once you get into it, you'll find hours have passed when you notice. Only bad thing is too many DLCs there.

It's an extremely fun game, challenging at times. Only problem is that the roads get clogged pretty easily by cars, making buses take a long time to get pass traffic and to stops. That's when the real traffic problems occur...

Nice game. In the start a little bit tricky and difficult, but after some experience, you can manage the gameplay without any problem, and you can enjoy the game. Pay attention at the system requirements. a Must have

MrNicoster doing a review on cities in motion. You have to create your own transport company and make routes, buy vehicles and assign them to a route and get your rep up!

I give it a 5/5 rating.

The game is basically Traffic Giant with much better graphics, better storyline and longer span, but it lacks many characteristics that could make it a cult-classic like Transport Tycoon. The game is missing many good features from Trolley-buses to diagonally placeable metro stations to realistic vehicles properties (capacity, speed,). These could be easily solved by the developers in patches, so the game will propably become more polished and better. The game is overally an excellent game if you are looking for nice graphics, challenging mission and many hours of fun. Th game is not a good choice if you are looking for realism. Be that realistic vehicles, realistic cities, and probably anything from real-life situations and limits. I personally say the game is 8.6/10 and advise anyone looking for a game from this genre to buy it.
