I tend to be quite fond of indie games, and this is a tittle that proves me right! This "little game" will give you many hours of enjoyable gameplay and at the price it is sold you can't really go wrong. It may not be for everyone since the graphics are simple, but beneath the simple graphics lies a great game. For any who like jrpgs, and "old-school" atmosphere this game is a good choice.

a very polished epic turn based rpg that is full of mystery and murder and has a collection of characters that are charming and likable from the start,

you will not want to stop playing it as it grabs you with its storyline and with lots of hidden locations and secrets to discover will make it worth while

cant wait for episode 2...

Chronicles of a Dark Lord: Episode I Tides of Fate review

If you're a fan of the old school games like FF 4, FF 6, or Chrono Trigger then you'll absolutely love this game! It's definitely not a kids game for sure, there's language and even adult type themes in the game that definitely appeal to those people like me who are looking for a more unique and different experience than most other old school RPGs done in this style. Even the main character is very different considering he's not the traditional "good guy" at all.

The music is probably one of the best if not better than most of the more mainstream RPGs I've played recently, and the gameplay is similar to the classic turn-based RPGs while keeping it fresh and fun. The graphics are definitely an improvement over a lot of the games done in the old school way, and there's even quite a few areas in the game that are just awesome to look at. Oh and mode 7 is in this game, and it's looking even better than it did in the past. The characters have a lot of depth and are well written, there were times I laughed out loud and other times that I felt that urgency because of what was going on.

The story is actually pretty deep, and keeps you addicted the whole way through. Overall, one of the best games I've played and it's a huge bargain for just $9.95! Definitely going to keep my eye out for Episode 2!
