Blocks That Matter

Rating: 3.7 (25 votes cast)

When indie game developers Alexey and Markus are in trouble, their only hope comes from their creation.

You are the Tetrobot: a tiny robot that can drill blocks of matter one by one, collect them, and recycle them into new pieces of 4 blocks. You also have the possibility to destroy lines of 8+ blocks in a very «retro russian» game style. Sand, wood, stone, obsidian, iron, diamond: each matter has its specific behaviour you'll have to use wisely and take advantage of them. So get ready to use your brain and combine your platforming and puzzle-solving skills in this incredible mashup!

  • A unique gameplay experience mixing puzzle and platform that will challenge your brain
  • 40 levels to play in Adventure Mode, 20 bonus levels to unlock and more free content to come
  • Collect every 40 "Blocks That Matter" and rediscover videogames made of blocks that made or will make History
  • Create and share your own puzzles using an easy-to-use level editor (soon available)

Awsome puzzle game, a good amount for "bang for bux".

Levels aren't too difficult but I had some derp momets...

On a plus side, there isn't DRM.

Blocks That Matter is a recently released indie title that focuses on challenging puzzles and platforming. This game is not for 'noobs', trust me you will end up rage quiting atleast once, for the price its worth it easily!

Blocks That Matter takes puzzle platforming and bumps up the puzzling. Unfortunately, its take on puzzling and platforming make for an average experience at best. The player can collect blocks to help the little robot they control navigate the level. Different types of blocks have different effects/abilities. Unfortunately, the puzzles aren't very interesting. What's worse is that if you get yourself stuck you have to restart the level. I know this seems like a little thing but a rewind feature would have made this game much better and more palatable.

After Playing this game for an hour or so i have found it quite enjoyable, it can feel like you are doing the same thing over and over if you are playing this for long periods of time but that is expected with a platformer, but this is a fun and quirky game that is well worth the money.

A great game coming from the French indie scene.

Mixing platformer and puzzle solving, the game gives you the commande of "Tetrobot", a little robot activated to rescue his makers: two Swedish indie developpers.

You'll definitely get your money's worth with the number of official and user created levels you will have access to (and hey, you could even create your own).

While this game is fun for the first hour or so, the game does feel like your doing a lot of the same thing over and over again. The comments are at times funny however I think what really makes this game is the user level and creations.

I really like this game.

It has a Minecraft look and also a little bit the feeling of Minecraft.

But now I have to use these blocks in a smart way.

So for the people that dont know if they should buy this game.

Just do it, it is fun and only for 5 euros.
