Battlestations Pacific review

A great addition to the Battlestations franchise. Fixes many of the issues of Battlestations:Midway, while keeping the same fun naval action/strategy elements intact. If you love World War two naval combat, this is definitely the game for you. The US campaign picks up where BS:M left off, whereas the Japanese campaign begins on December 7,1941. With the Japanese campaign you have the chance to rewrite history. The Japanese ending is actually quite believable, showing us just how lucky we got.

This is a great game for air and sea combat. It's a little complicated at times, but with some practice you'll be flying and shooting in no time. I've never played the first game, so this was my first experience with Battlestations. It's even got a decent story.

The graphics are pretty good, especially for the price, and the gameplay feels very real for the most part. If you've got a Live account you also get achievements!

As fan of WW2 I really like the historical accuracy and in the same time arcade playing of the game. There are not many WW2 game with naval battles or even combined with aerial skirmishes. While the graphics might be dated, amount of content in the game is so good that I am going for 5 stars. I can play this on my old notebook which is really useful to me when I am on business trip and want some real game!

It is fun and very cool plane and boat physics. Plenty of units and a lots of historic battle. Micro management is hard when moving the boats and its somewhat to easy on some part the AI is a bit stupid.

Battlestations Pacific is a war simulator game, not just where you can control a plane or a battleship. In this game you can almost controll all planes and ships on your team!. Even though the graphics are a bit outdated the game has a lot of fun to offer. But the game is pretty dead online, so make a friend buy it with you, so you can play LAN together, it makes it all so much better :D

This is a WWII game with a great mix between arcade and strategy. While you can directly control each of your units (planes, ships and submarines), you can also use a strategic map to control them as a group. The direct control of your units is very easy and fun to play, so don't expect the complexity of similation games.

The single player mode offers both american and japanese campaigns. The are both lengthy and entertaining. But it is the multiplayer that really shines. All in all, it's a great game.

Overall pretty satisfactory for a quick fix, however the campaign is not immersive at all(extremely bad voice acting) and you need to register with windows live to play multiplayer or even to patch the game, which I felt was extremely annoying. Overall if you are looking for a simple but fun action game with some strategy this will be pretty good for you, but do not expect long time appeal
