It’s here Kit Ballard works as one of the best bounty hunters in the business. Don’t let her pink hair fool you, Kit is part cat, part girl, and wholly lethal. She is one of the last of her species, having fled her homeland after the genocide of her people at the hands of the ancient and mystical race known as the Darques.

Kit has since made a name for herself rounding up some of the most deadly scum in the galaxy. With her unique Darque Blade hovering at her side and obeying her every command, Kit can cut through even the toughest rogue drone while hunting down soft targets. Also along for the ride is Skiffy, Kit’s laid-back little sidekick who, when needed, serves as her protector.

Join Kit, Skiffy and the Darque Blade in the all new action adventure game... “Blade Kitten™”

Blade Kitten review

i have to say i loved this game.

when i first picked it up as the demo it was on my old system, and it was running incredibly slowly - barely playable and yet i persevered for awhile. in fact that was even when i purchased the full version. soon after i upgraded my graphics card and suddenly its all at a new level. glad i purchased it.

loved the anime style of graphics and the cut scenes. both the characters and the background scenes are great - even if there is so much pink. personally i find the colour pink hurts my eyes, but for some reason i am usually able to ignore it. [though sometimes i hope noone sees me playing a pink game].

there are plenty of places to explore as well as lots of interaction with the environment, lovely graphics, decent sound and interesting characters.

loving it so far. was a great purchase and at a great price too.

Blade Kitten is an interesting mix of Japanese fandom and platform action. The gameplay is varied enough that it doesn't get boring, though for the most part it's quite easy (maybe too easy).

Definitely a good holiday play.

It's a very good jump'n'run platformer with high production values (graphics, voice overs, overall game length), which is suprisingly rare for a game of that genre on the PC. Personally I usually don't like platformers but Blade Kitten is good enough to be an exception to that rule.

Gameplay-wise there are complicated jumping maneuvers (which aren't required to progress but to get collectibles), a few collections (they unlock additional costumes) and a score that for once is not just a pointless number (you can buy functional and cosmetic upgrades). Gameplay is polished and fighting, jumping and running feel fluent. The design is a bit cutesy but that has its charm too, I guess.

There are only two negative points in my opinion. One is the fact you occasionally get pushed into the next level section without being able to fully explore the current area. The other is the DRM. I always had to wait a minute or two and randomly click through the main menu each time I started the game. Otherwise it wouldn't unlock the full version and allow me to load a game.

All in all, at such a low price it's very recommendable even if you are not a big fan of platformers. If in doubt try the demo.

This is probably the gayest game i've played since Robot Unicorn Attack, and i don't mean it as an insult. The game is full of bright colors and nice backgrounds, and Kit Ballard is one of the sassiest female protagonist i've ever seen.

The game is about exploring levels of an alien world, searching in every corner for treasures and Hex (money, to unlock upgrades, weapons and costumes); alternatively you can try to rush thruogh them as quickly as possible, but personally i found exploring is a lot more fun.

the gameplay is decent, but far from perfect, the platforming could have been more fluid and the combat is pathetic because you can fight against hordes of mooks wihout problem thanks to an insanely overpowered weapon and regenerating health. and by the way don't expect much from the story, it's told in a cute way but it's quite retarded.

Overall it's still a very fun game especially if you like slower paced platformers, with a main focus on finding secrets.
