B.A.D is an intense and enjoyable Shoote'em up game that captures the feeling of controlling a mass-produced humanoid robot (Battle Armor) piloted by a single soldier while keeping the realistic fast-paced action in a dramatic large scale conflict, from various Factions of Earth and Mars.

B.A.D Battle Armor Division review
This is a great game that reminds me of a SNES game I used to play, Metal Warriors. I'd give it another full star if the controls weren't so frustrating even on a gamepad. But it's one of those games you just need the patience to learn the controls, then you can have a lot of Mech fun blowing the crap out of everything. Satisfying.

So anyone who has played the game Target Earth for the Sega Genesis would like this game. That said though, as hard as Target Earth was, this game puts it to shame, the learning curve is steep as well, but the fun you can get when you start getting the hang of things is so awesome. This game's cheap and well worth the time to master.
B.A.D Battle Armor Division review
I actually like this game, BUT, it is very hard too. The first thing I absolutely have to point out is that this game is extremely keyboard/mouse control hostile. By default it has none, using gamepad only even when there is no pad. In my case, I have a control stick instead of a gamepad, and it used that. The keyboard commands have to be set as (at least for me) they are defaulted to nothing (so no keyboard commands by default). Also, there is no in game menu. Once you are in a mission, you are stuck in it until you either win/fail, or pres ALT-F4 (there is no other way that I found to get out mid-mission). If you have a gamepad, you will like this game though.
I admit it, I have not gotten passed the first level due to the controller awkwardness (I use my stick for flying, never used for side scrollers), but it is action packed and very pretty. It has a retro feel to it and is loaded with action. Oh, and it is a side scrolling action game that is not at all easy. The graphics are adequate and if you let the spectacle of the battle wash over you it really blends together well and made me, for one, feel like it was a real battle, not some disconnected watching a battle in a cinema while shooting a few bad guys on your plane of existence snore fest (this is very good).
Oh, and the DRM is listed as "other" on this site. I got it as a serial key required during installation but that was it. I don't think it connected to the internet or anything, but more like an old style CD key.
So if you have ANY like of side scroller games and have an actual gamepad of some sort, you will enjoy this game.
