It's somewhat of a unique defense/strategy game, but slightly clunky. Has a nice, arcadey feel to it, but seems somewhat repetitive. It's enjoyable but not extremely deep.

Pretty simplistic tower defense style game that will be good to kill a few hours of your time. Not a ton of strategy, you basically just have to decide whether you want to hunker down with some strong fortifications, or go for firepower. You won't be blown away by graphics with this one. Top scores are posted online so you have something to shoot for.

This game is like most games but seriusly really addicting and fun, I can honestly say that I played it for hours trying to beat my previous score and trying out different tactics regarding wich kind of defense I wanted to try out.

if you've played the game nation red, this game is a lot like that. Unfortunately this game isn't as good. The character animations are a little stiff and it's kinda hard to aim at the zombies sometimes. One thing i am kind of mixed about is the weapons, the selection is a little lackluster. But one good thing is the abilities to set up barriers and auto-turrets. The auto-turrets are fun because you can select the weapon that they shoot. So the game plays out with you in an open area and zombies coming after you, sometimes they drop cash or ammo. After a couple minutes the round ends and you get to spend your cash on weapons and barriers. Having said all that this is still a fun game. The game i mentioned at the beginning Nation Red would be a 4star if i was reviewing it and this game i give 3stars so in my opinion it's a good game and it's fun so that's what matters to me.

Amazing Zombie Defense has a couple of notable features that set it apart from the horde (pun intended) of zombie games available for the personal computer. The strong sense of customization the game provides makes each time through a unique experience (if you allow it): the ability to place barricades (despite their limited capabilities and square nature) lets you try out different arrangements and funnel mindless zombies to their deaths. Customizing the turrets, by attaching any weapon that you have purchased, is another cool feature. I did have some issues with aiming (go for the head!) and you can't customize the controls. Also, there is no cooperative play, but Amazing Zombie Defense does feature an online score list. The graphics and sound aren't the best, but the tense periods of time where you venture outside your stronghold to gather cash and ammunition, away from the light and power of turrets, easily rival any other zombie game. Yes, the game is repetitive since you play the same empty level and encounter the same limited zombies every time, but the foundation for a good time is certainly here. I would like to see more varied walls and traps, but overall Amazing Zombie Defense offers surprising value for the price, and I found the game far more interesting than a linear story-driven title. It's not quite amazing, but Amazing Zombie Defense is certainly a competent action title and a good choice for zombie hunters on a very tight budget.

I have Windows XP Home W sevice pack3 but i needed this in order to run the game as a Microsoft XNA 3.1 ERROR would close the game as soon as i clicked the icon to start it.

The fix is listed belowe at MS official site & is only a 7MB down load(about 5-10 seconds)

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=15163

Heres a title that i picked up (using blue coins) since its so cheap.

I'm pretty suprised, the combination of over head shooter & tower defence is well done.

It starts of you only have a pistol and for the first few waves there are only a few zombies (20ish)

Theres a good selection of weapons avalible that can be bought between rounds.

Believe me you will need those other guns which include an uzi, shotgun, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, tesla coil and more. All the guns can be set atop auto tracking & firing turrent(s) or carried. As you kill zombies you get paid and randomly zombies will drop money or ammo for guns you own. Building baracades, turrents and blasting away with your own weapon you try to survive as long as possible.(as many waves as possible) With each wave the zombies become numbersome, faster, stronger, along with having more HP.

This game isnt something that everyone could get into but if you like overhead shooters and/or tower defence then you'll likely get enough play time from it to justify the price.

The weak points are the shooting can be a bit tricky at certain angles since the camera is not directly over your head. The graphics are a bit plain but the game runs smooth & fast.

There are also the random factors like the drops from zombies & what items are "on sale" in the shop that can realy affect your score & survivability more than they realy should, making the online ranking system a bit unfair. But it also brings a sence of anticipation that the game would otherwise lack if the random factors were left out.

Low system Requirements of (listed belowe) means it should run on most laptops so its a good title to pick up to play a few rounds of while on the go.

"Operating system: Microsoft® Windows® XP/Vista/Win 7

Processor: 2.0Ghz

Graphics: Shader Model 3.0

Memory: 1GB

DirectX®: DirectX 9

Input: mouse and keyboard

Hard drive: 20MB

Internet connection: required for high scores"

I'd say if you like tuff shooters and/or tower defence games pick this up.

The price is small its portable & its intense.

Thanks & have a great day/night .)

In the details of the product- "It's aimed at hardcore gamers who like to put their skills to the test, find optimal strategy, "

The optimal strategy would be to not think of this game as anything close to a strategy. Each time you play the game, every night you are hit with waves of zombies, the same number and type and strength, however, the rewards you get for killing them are never the same, to make it worse the items you purchase may go on sale to help you out but it is all random. In the end any elements of strategy are far out shadowed by the random luck factors thrown in to the mix, Because no matter what plan you come up with if you can't purchase it every time then it boils down to luck if you are able to afford to even try.

Final review this game would make a great arcade game, to shove a few quarters into, but no real long term replay value. The "ranking" among world players, currently there are 87 of us dumb enough to purchase the game.

Good little game, But we are too limited with upgrade. We can buy some goods but not really upgrade that help us to advance in this game.

I recommend it, but not more. If you like game like Zombie Shooter, this one will be for you.

Cheap and Cheerful.

Being a fan of all things zombie and indie developers, I had to pick this one up. It's an arcade shooter very much in the vein of Crimson Land. The graphics and sound are basic, though certainly functional. The gameplay is fun: you have to hold out as long as you can against increasingly powerful waves of zombies, gaining cash and buying new weapons. You can also buy defenses, such as pallisades and turrets; this makes the game much more interesting.

It obviously won't hold your attention for all long as a full-scale commercial game, but at 2.99, it's a good buy. I would recommend Awesome Zombie Defense to fans of arcade games, tower defense, or zombie themed games.

The game wouldn't start when I installed it, so I contacted the developer, who got back to me quickly. The solution in my case was to install XNA 3.1, which you will find at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=53867a2a-e249-4560-8011-98eb3e799ef2.
