Agricultural Simulator 2013

Rating: 3.2 (81 votes cast)

The 2013 sequel to the successful Agricultural Simulator series is ready to roll – with updated agricultural technology from well known partners.

Go farm on idyllic pastures surrounded by inviting virgin mountain panoramas, or alternatively the fabulous landscapes of Tuscany and the USA are waiting with un-worked fields for all agriculture fans.

At their very own farm hobby-farmers undertake the daily tasks of running the Farm:  The production of food, sustainable resources, and the delivery of eco materials.

Fields have to be worked and farm animals cared for. The dynamic ground makes the whole game more realistic! Future farmers have to invest tactically and with foresight – the rapid spend of budgets by running costs and seed bills must not be underestimated. To realize a profit takes financial and tactical skill.

  • More than 70 vehicles and extensions
  • 3 different environments including towns, villages and farms (Tuscany, Alpine, United States)
  • Dynamic, realistic ground
  • Realistic “dirtying” of  ALL vehicles (visually and in handling)
  • 6 different animal species (cattle, bulls, sheep, chickens, horses, deer)
  • Extensive help system, including transport tasks
  • new plant species (eg sunflower)
  • Sales hot spots on all maps for all products - quick sale for inexperienced players
  • Interactive tutorial missions for all beginners

Big mistake, not fit for purpose. Should not be on the shelf for sale. My rig has above and beyond that which is required to play Agricultural Simulator 2013 and yet it crashes constantly, even when played under admin, with compatibility fix and update. Don't waste your money until this game is fixed, buy another game.

The tutorial stinks, you are put on your farm with no clue what to do. alot of bugs in the game as well, has no read me file that I can find to explain even the basics of the game. could be a great game alot more detail and management than farming simulator if they only explained what the hell to do and how to play.

Horrible! Found the first major bug within 3 minutes of install. It didn't get much better. I like farming games, but have a REALLY hard time finding one which suits me. This one is easily at the bottom of the list of the 1/2 dozen+ which I've tried out. NOT recommended.

The game is extremely buggy and bad looking, first of all the view angle is 45 degrees! 45 degrees!!! it makes everything zoomed in looking and when you drive a car it takes you 2 minutes and you will get motion sickness like I did.. you cannot change the view angle in first person but you can in third person. but hitting tilde key and typing: set fov.vehicle.inside 90 and outside but it will look REALLY UGLY.. this game must be redone and fixed before its playable.. once again it is proven that releasing a untested beta game is fail.. I bought this game and regret it like no other games I've bought Steer clear until its re launched or some major patch is out

EXTREMELY buggy but playable if you can identify and avoid the bugs like the one where if you wash your equipment the plow gets sent to neverland never to return or if you detach weight and plow in garage then reattach tractor explodes into a death spiral, or the one where if you create a field then hire a worker they get hung up in a one foot forward one foot back endless loop or just drive off to who the hell knows where. These are just a few of the major bugs in the game I've found and if you can live with not being able to wash your equipment or hire workers and do all of the work yourself and can creatively save your games progressively and often, save after every major task like T1,T2,T3 for Tuscany or A1,A2,A3 for Alpine or U1,U2,U3 for USA then and only then is the game playable if you can get it to load. Right now I'm ctrl+alt+del at least two to three times before the game will load. So although it is EXTREMELY buggy it is playable after you identify the bugs and avoid them in game. Anyway the Gamers Gate price was the best and for less than 12 dollars you can't really complain.

Nice game, good graphic, but unplayable... Too many bugs, Tuscany map didn't crash yet, but the others... Also After 1.0.0.5 my plow fall through the ground... I have this feeling "I've been tricked"... I bought a full game and I got an Alpha state bug pile. Don't buy it, wait till they finish this game!

Wanted to agree with everybody else. It applied a patch after installing but there are still problems. I love the way it looks, nearly there. Better trees, a few more details...this would be one relaxing game to play. But attachments fall off my tractor. I hit a small wooden marker in the ground and my big heavy tractor FLIPPED OVER!!! ??? I have an AMD/ATI card and the shadowing looks bad. I had the same problem with Ag Sim 2012. Not enough testing... Will have to wait on the latest patch to see if things get fixed. AS it is, avoid for now until you get an extreme sale like I just did. Would be interested in knowing if the Historical Farming Sim that's out works better. I'd love to mess around with vintage tractors.

The game was not thought out. To compete with LS 2013 they rushed it out with little to no testing. The game crashes to desktop on all operating systems. Game has way to many issues to be enjoyable at this time. I rate the broken game a 1. I mean most company's beta test their games with more then just one computer. If you translate and read the forums for this game you can see that this game is very bugged with many issues. It should have never been released till the core game was fixed.

An unplayable bugfest.

This game shows great potential. It has the potential to become a more realistic farming simulator than its main competitor, Farming Simulator 2013. Unfortunately it does not deliver. It is riddled with bugs, even after the 1.0.0.5 patch which is supposed to cure the worst ailments. At least, after 1.0.0.5 the game runs longer than five minutes between crashes, farm implements do not fall through the ground into the void below and the game no longer crashes instantly when you try to view the farm admin screen. It is still, however, unplayable. It is still impossible to play through the tutorials, because of the bugs (mainly because you can't attach implements to your tractor and combine harvester) and it is the worst performance hog I've ever experienced! On the lowest preset settings (which, somehow, makes the marker icons used in the tutorials invisible and thus makes any tutorial impossible to finish) and with a low screen resolution, the frame rate on my box is still horrible - and I play Skyrim on 1920x1200 with high settings! Hopefully they'll fix this game in later patches, because for the first time ever I am sorely tempted to ask for a refund.

A very awesome farming simulator, with a lot more micro-management than Farming Simulator 2013.

But the game is too bugged to play right now. It has some very awesome goals, and it is way more realistic than Farming Simulator. But it is not playable in this state. So my advice: If you want a decent farming simulator, go for this one. But wait buying it, until some decent patches have been launched.

In its current state you won't find much to enjoy about this game. To many bugs ruin the experience and there is absolutely nothing to help new gamers to the genre....like me. Why is that? Lets begin with "Interactive tutorial missions for all beginners" these so called tutorials do nothing more than teach you how to drive the tractor with different attachments. Everyone could have figured that out, do one tutorial and you done them all "Couple the extension to the tractor, drive over the field a couple of times, done tadaa". But running a farm has a lot more to do than just working on the field. You start with a bunch of animals but there is no tutorial what so ever that explains to you what to do with them.

Yeah you can drag them to a stable or something but i have no clue what so ever what to do with them. They should have included tutorials about that as well. After all a beginner doesn't know these things.

"Sales hot spots on all maps for all products - quick sale for inexperienced players" especially the "quick sale for inexperienced players". I pressed every button on my keyboard and i did not found any option for a quick sale. In 2012 you pressed escape and you got a menu where you could buy and sell stuff....not here it seems (or maybe there is but i haven't found it cause the keybind options never mention any of it either).

And perhaps the worst part of all.....NO UI!!!! WTF, i have no idea how much money i have, again i pressed all buttons but never did it show up. I have no idea how much fuel my vehicles have, etc etc. Its a simple thing that was there in 2012, why was it removed for 2013? Perhaps they assumed that we are all RL farmers, but than they shouldn't mention that this game is for beginners as well. No right now this game isn't worth your money.

I give it two stars cause the game has potentional. It has many vehicles and extensions. And if they manage to patch a lot of the issues (graphic clitches, fix a UI, etc) than this game might be worth the 16 euro i spend on it. But right now this game is not recommendable.

This game is so bug ridden, the graphics are glitch most of the training fails to work properly. Trying to get your employee to work, well he just does not, even flipped the tractor upside down. This game should have never been released in this state. It does not even come up to a beta standard.
