You should really stop reading this and buy this already. Turn Based Strategy that, despite its' age, feels pretty polished, with a good tutorial and accessible interface, the two things that generally make playing older games a chore normally.

A great game not to be missed by fans of Heroes of Might and Magic series. A spiritual successor to Master of Magic. Anyone looking for something like master of magic should give this game a try!

This is in my view one of the most enjoyable turn based strategy games made. It has a solid plot for the campaign, the different races have unique units, and there is an abundant supply of skirmish maps. I've always favored AoW over Heroes of M&M. The only negative of this game is it's dated and somewhat less eye candy then it was when it came out.

It's a classic turn based strategy with hints of Master of Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic. City building is somewhat limited, however there a plenty of units amongst the numerous races, and the tactical turn based battles really make the game stand out.

The campaign is well done, with a branching option towards the end, and the storyline supported by the wealth of lore in the unit details.

All in all it's a solid effort and likely to be appreciated by fans of MoM and it's like. There are some flaws, for example the AI isn't particularly good at protecting it's main character (the loss of which means game over).

I love this game. I like the improvements made in the later version Shadow Magic, but altogether a decent game. The ability to play the role of Sorcerer and cast spells made it feel like some of the older games with God-like play such as Populous.

The classic remake of Master of Magic, in my opinion. While not graphically as good as newer iterations of this series, this is where you should start to get your feet wet with the Age of Wonders series.
