5 Realms of Cards review

This game, while fun, is also limited on the amount of replayability it provides. I found it rather boring after just a few plays of around 45 minutes each. To be fair though, this is not the type of game I generally play. My mother loved it and found it to be fun. She did have the same complaint though that it just wasn't replayable at all. I think the price point is probably about 30% too high for something of this quality.

If you can get it on a sale price and want to blow three or four hours, it is worth it. Don't cancel any plans to stay home for this though.

A solid timekiller. Not an exciting game, but a slow and comfortable puzzling game good for whiling away ten minutes or ten hours if you like getting good scores.

The story mode can be largely overlooked as non-existant, and trying to get to the end of the game as quickly as possible is just dull anyway. It is easy enough to get a good score that it in most cases is not necessary to try several times.

Seriously - there is no story mode at all, apart from the picture of the princess that is your pawn for how far you've gotten in the game.

Yet another fun casual from Sugar Games...It's easy to play and, like their other games, you can go for a timed mode and a more relaxed one. You can unlock a bunch of “trophies” although you won't get any particular bonus doing so. Graphics are nice and colourful but the music can be a bit repetitive. There is a fairly good amount of levels so don't expect to finish it quickly, even more if you try to beat the minimal move for each, thus getting a gold card. Again, like Rainbow Web 2, doing this won't grant anything and believe me, some are pretty hard to get. Did I enjoy playing? Yes but I definitely preferred both Rainbow Web...In any case, if you enjoy card games, you'll probably like this, otherwise go for the Rainbow series.
